Where do process solutions have the greatest impact?

Somewhere between a library of a hundred books, and an inventory of a hundred thousand titles - the simple strategy of alphabetizing breaks down. But where, when, why and how do such processes begin to fail? How can you tell that it’s time to change your processes?

The time when most organizations “feel” their processes is when they grow. Scalability is the ability of an organization or process to continue to function under increased workload.

If you have ever waited over an hour for your meal to come at a busy restaurant, then you have felt the limits of the scalability of that restaurants’ processes.

Performance bottlenecks are key indicators that it’s time to evaluate your processes.

Signs of bottlenecks include the dramatic slowing of a process that results in lost production, the sudden loss of quality and consistency in the products or services you offer, or the sudden spike in the amount of labor required for necessary tasks. Even if these bottlenecks are uncommon, intermittent or only occur at specific times, they are telling you that your processes are being tested to their limits. If feeling burnt-out is a common complaint for you or others in your organization, then it is nearly certain that evaluating your processes is long overdue.

Rather than giving you a list of best-practices that you could read in any business magazine or consulting website, we will interact with your organization through look, touch and feel.
